LEARNING WISDOM FROM THE LIFE OF CHAMELEONS
Dear friends this a continuation of the serialization of my latest book coming out soon titled, YOUR HONOR (A BOOK ON WISDOM)
Chameleons are among some created animals that human beings despise majorly because of their nature and ways of doing things. But the truth is that there are so many things that we can learn from this creature. One thing that is easily noticeable about chameleons is that they are not in a hurry. Somebody said, “Go easy in everything you do if you want to create a work of lasting significance, be patient, be good, be easy to get along with, be humane.”
THE LIFE OF CHAMELEON IS NOT PREDICTABLE: It has imbued in its body the ability to change its color. If chameleon is in a red environment it changes its color into red, and if green, it turns into green and on and on. This is one nature we must copy so as to survive in any environment, this not an encouragement to anybody to practice cunning craftiness. Far from that! There have been cases of some people who went to some places and they had the problem of adapting and acclimatizing to their new environment. The old adage of “do in Rome as the Romans are doing come into focus.” We must be ready to adjust to the environment we find ourselves.
Dr. Mark Syder, Social Psychologist at University of Minnesota, USA said this concerning chameleons, “they pay careful attention to social cues, scrutinizing others with keenness so as to know what is expected of them before making a response.”
HAVING EYES AT THE BACK: This creature is a wonderful creature of God because it has the ability to turn its eyes front wards and backwards to see what is in front and what is at the back. Turning 360 degrees. This is one of the challenges of human beings we can only see what is in front and cannot see what is at our back, unless we turn our eyes, but this not so with the chameleon, it sees front and back at the same time.
As individuals we can be in shipping business and have eyes to see what happens in politics, education sector, oil and gas industry, government circles, and other sectors through having our Strong contacts there.
The Chameleon sees front and back, and the Eagle sees very far distance.
TONGUE: STRENGTH OF THE CHAMELEON
One great strength of the chameleon is its tongue. This is a gift from the Almighty that helps it to capture and swallow its prey without missing. It behooves us like the chameleon to know our selling points and maximize it fully. We must not only find out our selling point but master how to use it efficiently so that with it we can do great progress without missing.
WE MUST AVOID THIS NATURE THAT PEOPLE SAY IS COMMON WITH CHAMELEON: CUNNING CRAFTINESS. Instead, we must be reliable and trust worthy. Peace
Not everybody values wisdom. This book is primarily meant for those that desperately desire WISDOM. Bear in mind with wisdom success and victory is assured in this life.
